… my laptop.
That’s corny, I know. But it’s also true. My Dell laptop is my constant companion, and it has given me plenty of opportunities to expand my world (for lack of a better descriiption). Never mind that I only use it with a mouse and on top of my table that looks like school furniture. Never mind that I’m almost always inside my bedroom whenever I go online.
I hope it won’t get jealous whenever I browse the Apple website for MacBooks. The last thing I need right now is for it to malfunction in any way.
It’s been almost a week but I’m still reeling from the awesomeness of this concert. I’ve always liked Kelly Clarkson and her music, but after hearing her live I’ve become a fan for life. It’s the overabundance of vocal talent, the goofy and grounded attitude, the great backing-up band. Plus she (self-professed) writes depressing and sometimes angsty songs, and that’s my thing. It was a fun, fun night of great music, stripped of production gimmicks. Did I already say she’s very, very, very good at singing?
Here’s one of my favorite parts. When she sat down and performed an acoustic set - a refreshing change of pace from the mostly catchy tunes, pop/rock repertoire.
And kudos to the Filipino audience! We also helped make that night an unforgettable one-of-a-kind (because I don’t want it to be a once-in-a-lifetime one) experience.
I just realized I’ve kept the same mobile phone number for eight years now. E-I-G-H-T freaking years, baby! As I’ve been having a hard time keeping up with my friends’ updated numbers, that’s quite an “accomplishment”. I guess it’s because I’m a sucker for free phones so I always opt to get my service provider’s extended service plan. They don’t carry iPhones, though, so I’m thinking of switching next year.
Just let me gush at technology again. I’ve been blogging for maybe three or four years now. I’ve never regretted any moment of it. It’s not that one cannot have too much of an online presence - there’s Facebook, Twitter, and plenty of other social media sites and blogging platforms. I may have tried them all - kept some and lost some.
So why am I doing this again? Here’s my new Tumblr site.
I don’t even know if I’ll be able to maintain it, but I kinda like the platform. I’m planning to make it my own way to microblog. Because Twitter is not microblogging for me. I tend to write a little more than 160 characters to really say something. Even the life insurance rate agent who keeps on bugging me cannot send texts that’s only that long.
