I’m reminded of that song from West Side Story: “I feel pretty, oh so pretty; I feel pretty and witty and bright!”
Ah, if only one can feel like that everyday. That would be nice. But there are some days when you just feel like crap and you’re too tired to care. What? That’s just me? Oh, well.
As part of my preparations for my sister’s wedding last weekend, I had my hair straightened, got a manicure/pedicure, had my eyebrows threaded, and if only I didn’t lack the time (and money) I probably would have had a facial, too. Skin care these days not only means looking for the best acne treatments. I got myself a pamphlet from a leading skin care clinic and I wanted to scream at the prices of their services. Geez, I guess I’ll only do these things when there are special occassions. And maybe the next time I feel crappy again.
