— The unexpected prize of coming into a tournament as the underdog. We joined the tourney as an act of loyalty to our home court, which is celebrating its 1st anniversary at its new location. Nobody expected us to win. Well, mostly because of me, he heh. My partner, Rhodney, did most of the work but I’m glad to be of help. We paid P650 for entering the tournament but with the free lunch and dinner, the toiletries we both won from the raffle, a nice Adidas shirt (probably not authentic though), and a cash prize of P1500, what’s not to be happy about?
i’m so out of the circle…geez! i didnt know you joined the tourney. i was just told by ven while we’re having lunch. congrats to both of you. i heard you beat the “bald and the dancing queen” couple. galing naman! and there’s a cash prize huh? hmm… cheese burger nman jan hehe

ka2x, thanks! we didn’t plan to join. we didn’t even practice. nagdecide lang kami bigla out of hiya sa Flick!

The husband, sa “company” lang kami level A. Outside, lower level lang. Marami pang mas magagaling. Add to that the fact that they’ve been underestimating our badminton skills eversince, not noticing how much we’ve improved.

thehusband, Lupet talaga sila. I realized nga na i really love badminton dahil sa kanila - when you’re with them, you’ll feel so little of your self and your skills (make that statement doubly bad and that’s how I feel sometimes). Pero andun pa din ako, nagpipilit mag-join hahaha! For the love of the game
Partner Rhodney, sa next tourney, we’ll be playing against each other. Sorry na lang; no mercy. Ha ha ha!

WOW!!! Congrats Zarine. Good job. Maybe they underestimated you too much. They haven’t seen you play recently to know how much you’ve improved. Surely your practice in Olivarez, although only once with your partner, helped a lot. I mean, those were two men you beat. Very impressive. Of course, you’re partner must be good also
