The first time I heard about these big shows happening at Las Vegas, I think I was watching Oprah and she’s featuring Celine Dion. I was a fan a long time ago when Celine Dion was not a big name yet (Beauty & the Beast era). I remember being amazed at the vastness of the stage, the glamorous production numbers, and the frequency of shows she’s planning to do. The run reportedly took 4 and a half years and was an unqualified success.
It has been announced that the next big act to grace the stage of Caesar’s Palace is no other than American pop icon Cher. Her show is expected to start at the beginning of May 2008. If you’re gonna be in Vegas, might as well look for Cher tickets at Ceasars Palace.
Cher was first known as the other half of the pop/rock duo Sonny & Cher. In a career spanning 40 years, breaking barriers in music, television, and film, she has won an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, a Cannes Film Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and several Billboard Music Awards, among others (from Wiki).
The 62-year-old singer has just completed her Farewell Tour. You would think that means she’s about to retire. Apparently, it’s a farewell from going on tours. Now that the Vegas show is a done deal, Cher fans have one more place to go to see their star.
