The lock-in period for the ISP I’m currently subscribed to has expired since about 6 months ago and I’ve been seriously considering if a change is in order. I’m not really satisfied with the speed, considering the monthly service fee. I’m hoping for a speed that would at least allow me to watch online video streaming without interruption, taking into account that the published kbps these providers are advertising about are not exactly the actual speed you’ll get once your system’s up and running. Below are three of my choices. I created a poll to see if anyone who’ll stumble upon this blog can help me decide which among these internet service providers can give the best value for my money. If you answer "Other," please leave a comment or suggestion.

On another note, I created the poll above using a helpful Web site. It’s actually very easy to set up. They offer services like free myspace surveys. It’s a fun way to inject a little something into your blog and increase audience participation as well. All you have to do is prepare your questions and answers, get the code, and paste them on your site, just like what I did.
I’d vote for Globe Broadband..
Globe has the better customer service. It will actually take you ages to apply for a SMART Bro account (based on my roomie’s experience).
Grace, frances, I’m actually using SmartBro. Wala namang interruptions but I can use more than the speed I’m getting. But with regard to application, SMART’s actually very fast. I had mine connected two weeks after I applied online. My friend had her Internet connection the next day after she applied online. She didn’t even had to pay or do paperwork in Wireless centers. They had people come to her house and did all the transactions right there.
But I’m considering Globe Broadband because it comes with a phone line
Posted by zarine at February 7, 2008, 12:25 pmLucky you z! I’d had nothing but problems with SMART. BTW, you may need to think twice about the Globe Broadband.. my officemate said that Globe has lots of downtimes. You may want to consider PLDT myDSL or Bayantel Wireless..

You know what? I’m still using dila-up…aargghhh! Ancient na talaga ako…I cannot vote kasi baka mapahiya lang ako. But based on feedback from others…I think, if a remember correctly, you will encounter a lot of problems with PLDT MyDSL (remember the call center “scandal”? he! he!) My brother uses Smart Bro and OK naman daw. I don’t know lang compared with what you’re using now if it’s better!
