1. Never do a 120 (you didn’t review)-slide-long presentation with only a PowerPoint viewer.
2. Sometimes, old people make me feel … young. And not in a good way.
3. For the first time in weeks, I didn’t play any Broadway song in my mp3 player.
4. I thought the last episode of 30 Rock was mocking me. Either that or I was dreaming that by the end, the characters were singing lines as if in a musical, singing in chorus with all the exaggerated hand movements and hip swings. I’ve been imagining myself doing something like that with my everyday conversations.
5. How do you measure a year? 525,600 minutes. 525,000 moments of tears. - There I go again. This month marks my blog’s first-year anniversary. It’s a big deal - to me.
6. It’s been proven - RSL Badminton racquets are among the most durable around. My doubles partner and I had a minor miscalculation which ended up in major damage - I was taking a shot on my backhand side, which she also took on her forehand side (we’re both right handed). Her racquet head smashed mine, and I could only look in aghast when hers broke in two; it looked like a folded piece of metal. Mine didn’t even have a scratch.
7. I don’t think I’ll ever give up badminton; sometimes, though, going to the courts feels like high school - it’s cliquish and all.
8. I didn’t like I.Am.Legend. Both times I watched.
9. Two people I know got married today. To each other.
10. It’s 3 a.m. on a Sunday morning (to me it’s still Saturday) and I’m thinking Conti’s mango bravo! Yum!
