I was tagged by Raine (Introspection) with this meme. So I'm passing it along to the five bloggers in my links.
Here are the rules:
1. Choose five blogs randomly from your blogroll.
2. For each blog, choose at least one entry (you could add more) which is your favorite post by this blogger.
3. Include a link to this post and explain why you like it.
4. The chosen five bloggers are considered tagged and they will also have to do the same in their blogs.
Here's my list:
1. A Sloth's Creed by Onyxx (Recycled Thoughts)
Onyxx wrote this poem as "A Mantra for Underachievers". It's such a nice poem. I read it aloud one time and the I found the words very fluid and unpretentious (these two adjectives don't really go together, no?). It isn't trying to impress, but somehow you just can't help but be.
2. 3 a.m. and Trying to be Interesting by Karmee
The first sentence of this post says it all - "The surefire way to be an interesting person, …., is simply to be interested in everything and everyone. Karmee believes that being an interesting person is an opportunity in itself to inspire others. So those who will get to read her blog will "learn even just an eency-weency-tiny bit of a nugget of something." Well, I did, and it's more than just an eency weency bit.
3. Blankets by Tricia (Tricia's World)
The woes of married life. But really, this post is kinda sweet. It talks about how a married couple can be different in so many ways, yet none of those count more than their two most significant similarities - their love for each other and their love for their daughter.
4. I Better Blow My Nose Harder by Jogasaurus
A love story. Sometimes, we want to believe that when we like someone, that person has to be our destiny. But what if he or she doesn't love you back? Well, Joga is one lucky gal; she had found someone who does.
5. Love (For Adults Only) by Fencesitter (Tales of the Fencesitter)
[Fence's site doesn't have a blogroll, but I want to include this post in keeping with the "favorites" theme]
This is a Valentine's Day entry (and no, it's not another love story, at least not in the classic sense). When I read that post, it initially made me feel queasy. I mean, it has the potential to wash off every bit of romanticism a girl might be keeping tucked inside her brain. Imagine this: It's like taking one hard punch on the stomach, and suddenly you're thinking like a guy, at least for the moment. But truth is, it makes a lot of sense. Talk about reality, he's right on target. So girls, read this article but don't take it personally. You might actually find it funny.
